For years I've been making do with chain store tack, and I thought it was about time I bought some decent gear.
The problem with mass produced Indian Barcoo bridles is that they seldom match the dimensions required for proper fit of a real horse. Usually the brow band is too tight putting pressure on the back of the ears, or the crown is too long and swamps the horse's head.
From the moment I took this Kent bridle out of the pack I knew I had made the right decision to spend the extra money. The quality of workmanship is fantastic, and it fits my 15.2hh QH like it was tailor-made. I didn't even have to punch any extra holes in the throat latch, which is a sure sign that it is built by somebody that knows real horse sizes.
The leather is supple, and won't take too much to break it in. The cheek straps have an extra keeper around the centre buckle which helps stop the rings on a snaffle twisting and pulling inwards on the horse's cheek when you are leading by the rein.
This Barcoo EH bridle will last me a lifetime, and will probably be the last bridle I ever buy.
