I bought these reins to match my Extended Head Barcoo Bridle, and I ordered matching brass buckles instead of the knots.
Again, I was not dissappointed. The reins are at least 2 mt long, and there is no thinning or blemish in the entire length. This is pretty rare, and it's obvious the leather has been carefully selected for consistency and quality.
The attention to detail in the way the buckles have been attached is absolutley faultless. For instance, the way the buckles are set up gives the reins a slight bias so that they angle away from the horse's cheeks at the bit. It also provides a slight flex at the attachment point so that it is kinder on the mouth.
